Soul Conexión is an Afro-Latin social dance weekender for people who believe the best part of dance happens on the social floor. For three days in Pondicherry, dancers from across India and beyond come together for workshops, practice sessions, DJs, socials, poolside afternoons and late-night dancing. No competition. No hierarchy. Just music, movement and people who love to dance.

Think of it as a dance holiday with your community: beach, pool, music and about 200 people, small enough that you'll actually meet everyone. Arrive alone, leave with friends.

Allan & Seniz

Kizomba

Allan & Seniz have spent years taking Kizomba to dance floors across India and around the world, teaching and performing at festivals in cities including Seoul and Kuala Lumpur. They're known for their Kizomba fusion style and for their wordplay musicality, a playful way of hearing and answering the music that they've shared with dancers in many countries.

We're thrilled to welcome them to the Soul Conexión lineup.

Kizomba masterclass. A special two-hour masterclass for Kizomba enthusiasts, ticketed separately from the festival pass. The time will be added to the schedule.

Friday

26 February

Arrival and registration
Artist showcase. A short introduction to the people you'll learn from.
Opening social. The first night on the floor.

Saturday

27 February

Workshops, about 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, in three rooms running at once: Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba / Urban Kiz / Tarraxo.
Practice after each workshop.
Night social across all styles.

Sunday

28 February

Workshops, about 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with practice time.
Pool party. Music, dancing and a holiday mood in the daytime.

Kizomba masterclass

With Allan & Seniz

Two hours for Kizomba enthusiasts, with a separate ticket. Day and time to be announced.

Silent DJ Night

Date to be confirmed

Wireless headphones, different channels, one shared floor. Time and format will be confirmed with the venue.

We're finalising a beachside resort in Pondicherry with a pool, three workshop halls and a proper social floor. Venue, accommodation options, prices and directions from Chennai airport will appear here once confirmed.

Snig Studios presents Soul Conexión

Founded by Snigdha Ramdorai (DJ Snig), an Afro-Latin DJ and social dancer who has been behind the decks since 2018 and lives in Kizomba, Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Afrobeats and Tamil Afro-Latin mixes. She built Soul Conexión to be the social-dance weekend she wanted to attend herself, and it's a space that belongs to the community, not to any one name.

The Social Dance Code

A great floor depends on everyone. These apply to all guests, artists and staff.

Consent

Ask before a dance. Respect a "no" straight away. A past yes isn't a yes for the next dance.

Boundaries

Respect physical and personal limits. Never force a hold or a move.

Hygiene

Bring deodorant, a towel and a change of clothes.

Respect

Be kind to dancers, artists, DJs, staff and venue teams. Harassment, unwanted touching and discrimination will not be tolerated.

Substances

No illegal drugs. Drink responsibly, and alcohol is never an excuse.

Cameras

Photograph and film with consent. Respect people's privacy.

Floor etiquette

Watch your surroundings, avoid big moves in crowds, and apologise for collisions. The floor belongs to everyone.

Is it a competition?

No. It's a social-dance weekender.

Do I need a partner?

No. Most people come alone or with friends and dance with everyone.

Can beginners come?

Yes. The final workshop schedule will show levels.

Which styles will there be?

Kizomba, Urban Kiz, Tarraxo, Bachata, Salsa, Zouk and related Afro-Latin styles.

What does the pass include?

We'll list exactly what's included, including workshops, accommodation and food, before sales open.

Can I transfer or refund my pass?

The transfer and refund policy will be published with the pass details.

Are alcohol and drugs allowed?

Alcohol follows venue rules and local law. Illegal drugs are not allowed.

What happens if someone behaves badly?

The organisers may take action, including asking someone to leave.
